Meet Our Knowledgeable and Compassionate Dental Staff
Our dental staff in Rio Rancho, NM, consists of wonderful people who have made the science of care giving into an art. We are active in our professional organizations and we are constantly striving to improve our care to our patients through professional study groups and continuing education. State-of-the-art diagnostic technology and patient education tools help us to help our patients achieve and maintain their optimal dental health.
Shaelee grew up here in Rio Rancho. She is a Certified Dental Assistant, having graduated from Central New Mexico Community College in 2012. She started at Dr. Crislers as a dental assistant in 2012 and is now the business manager. Shaelee enjoys sculpting charms in her free time along with spending time with her friends, family, and husband. Shaelee is excited to be a part of Dr. Crisler's team and working with the best in the dental field.
Leigh grew up in Albuquerque, and worked as a Registered Respiratory Therapist for 22 years prior to returning to UNM and earning a Bachelor's of Science degree in Dental Hygiene in 1997. Making our patients feel comfortable during appointments is a top priority for Leigh. Leigh and her husband Chip reside in Rio Rancho with their four cats. Leigh enjoys walking, gardening, and cooking.
Maya grew up in Ruidoso. She is a cum laude graduate of the University of New Mexico's Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene. She is actively involved with the American Dental Hygiene Association, High Desert Dental Hygiene Association, and Western Society of Periodontology. She serves as a mentor to students in the local dental hygiene programs and has participated in numerous community outreach programs including the New Mexico Mission of Mercy and a Nicaragua dental mission. Her goal is to provide the most up to date comprehensive patient care with an emphasis on treatment planning and dental health education.
Marta has been a dental assistant since 1988. She got her training through the American Red Cross Dental Assisting program at Scott AFB, Illinois. After graduating she went on to become the chairperson for the program at Scott AFB. She and her husband of 45 years have five grown children and 19 grand children. Marta has been an active member of the LDS church and has been teaching all ages since she was 18 years old. She loves mentoring CNM dental assisting students and watching them excel in the dental field. She has a talent for making our patients of all ages feel comfortable in our office. Marta's hobbies include oil painting, crafts, sewing, drawing, and jewelry making. She enjoys working with Dr. Crisler and being a part of his great team!
Certified Dental Assistant
Megan is a Tennessee native that moved to New Mexico in 2003. First going to college for Hospitality & Tourism, she then took interest in the dental field. While receiving her Certificate in Dental Assisting at CNM she also took classes to obtain her Associates Degree in Integrated Studies. Now, Megan resides in Albuquerque where she enjoys walks with her miniature poodle, taking road trips to new places, and spending time with friends and family
Elisa is our behind the scenes crew member as a sterilization assistant. She has been in the dental field since 1997 and is a wonderful asset to the flow of our office. She is a loving friend, mother and wife.
